Dunbar's number and Twitter...

I'm reading Chris Anderson's FREE at the moment (in the seven seconds of free time I have) and he mentioned a very interesting theory on the ability of a community to be function. Also the ability of someone to maintain more than 150'ish relationships.

Given my very public stance on my view of the insanity of auto-follow on Twitter and the fact that I culled my Facebook account down to under 150 people I actually know - this theory fascinated me.

Here is the Link to the Wikipedia article on the subject - very interesting.

 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunbar%27s_number

btw - how INSANELY good is Wikipedia from Kirsten Dunsts height (don't ask) to Dunbars Number

Here in the Dale household a day would not go by without consulting it.

I do understand it's short comings - anything that is "opinion", political or controversial has to be read with two eyes WIDE open.

For factual stuff - it's just insanely good.

PS - It's also another great reason to have an iPhone - Wikipedia EVERYWHERE rocks!

The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs: iTablet: My hero's journey - Just Genius.

I've told you about Fake Steve before. This article is one of the best.

You also get a nice bonus - with a lesson in copywriting that is second to none...

 Can you pick it?

PS all you fakes out there - this is the standard you need to live up to. You see the trick to being a good @fakeXXXXXX is to have compassion for the subject. Straight Out Nasty doesn't work.
